Its singular colour almost vibrates with intensity, fusing sizzling turquoise, electric blue and neon green. Interestingly, a minute amount of copper is responsible for its extraordinary color combinations .

 

The largest and most brilliant speciments come from a small mine near the historical town of São Jose da Batalha (PB), where they are laboriously, unheathed by hand.
